The Rhode Island Homeless Advocacy Project (RIHAP) is a grassroots organization located in Providence, RI, which is currently in the process of formally incorporating.

Our founding belief is that homeless individuals can and should have an active role in deciding the policies and practices that shape our daily lives. We believe that no one knows more about homelessness and its solutions than those who are experiencing - or have experienced - it.

Our goal is to create a safe and constructive forum for homeless individuals to go during the day to discuss and act upon the obstacles faced in our daily life. In doing so, our ultimate goal is to end homelessness as we know it through peer-to-peer advocacy.
